Welcome to DiscoverE!

DiscoverE is a student-delivered initiative of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton AB.  We focus on fun, accessibility and mentorship to deliver programs about engineering, science and technology! We deliver high-impact classroom workshops, unique clubs and events, and engaging summer camps for kids. Our programs reach over 80 communities across the Edmonton area, northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Get an introduction to computers and coding using Kano's! 

Come learn about the parts of a computer and how all the pieces come together. We will also be going through Scratch, Python and hacking minecraft!

Our Spring Break Camp runs from 8:30 am until 4:00 pm.  DiscoverE also offers early drop-off from 8:00-8:30 am and late pick-up from 4:00 - 5:00 pm for campers free of charge!

Intro To App Design - Free Online Course

DiscoverE is pleased to announce our second free online course, Intro to App Design, available to everyone, developed by youth! Members of our Girls Coding Club worked collaboratively with our team to design a program with the goal of continuing to inspire and nurture interest in computer programming and coding.
